Unfortunately, Sylvia Baraff (née Rogers) (1930-2017) wasn't eligible for a lot of pageants because she was married. A lot of pageants in the 1950's didn't allow for married women to compete. She was crowned Queen of the Cable Cars in 1950, and competed in Mrs. San Francisco -not to be confused with Miss San Francisco- two years later. After a brief gig as a print model, she realized the limitations of being a wed model and became a schoolteacher instead. She remained in San Francisco until her death at the age of 87.
