
Jan C. Hollar (1933-2012) began dancing at the age of 2, joining the Corps De Ballet as a teenager. Her mother, Dorothy, worked as a telephone operator so that her daughter could afford lessons. They even left Texas to study with famed ballerina Njinsky in Hollywood. She toured Europe and South America throughout the 1950s. In addition to films like Hans Christian Andersen (1952) and The Glass Web (1953), she performed alongside Abbot and Costello on the Colgate Comedy Hour.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, William Giannunzio.
