Chapter 4:
Natural Language Processing

Section 1: Understanding and Processing Human Language
Human language is a complex and rich form of communication, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a subfield of AI that focuses on enabling computers to understand, interpret, and generate human language. NLP combines techniques from linguistics, computer science, and machine learning to bridge the gap between human language and computational systems.
NLP involves a series of tasks, including text preprocessing, syntactic analysis, semantic understanding, and language generation. Text preprocessing involves cleaning and tokenizing text, removing stopwords, and handling special characters. Syntactic analysis deals with parsing sentences, identifying grammatical structure, and extracting relationships between words. Semantic understanding focuses on extracting meaning, detecting entities, and understanding the context of language. Language generation aims to produce coherent and meaningful human-like text.
