
Dr. Sandra Steingraber is a biologist and cancer survivor. Currently a scholar in residence at Ithaca College, she is the author of Living Downstream: An Ecologist Looks at Cancer and the Environment. She served on President Clinton’s National Action Plan on Breast Cancer and as an advisor to the California Breast Cancer Research Program. In 2001, Dr. Steingraber was awarded the Rachel Carson Leadership Award by Chatham College. She received her Ph.D. in biological
sciences at the University of Michigan.
