Blogging

I "m obviously a big proponent of creating a blog that serves as your online command center. Over time your blog will receive more and more visitors and many of those will want to join your list, whether that is an actual email list, an RSS feed, or one or more of your social networks.

The important thing to remember is to give them access to all of these methods through your blog.

Of course you need to install an email capture form that is eye catching on your blog using an autoresponder service like Aweber or GetResponse. Article marketing involves distributing your own articles via online article directories such as EzineArticles.com, Buzzle.com or ArticleAlley.com. You "re allowed to include a short amount of biographical information about yourself, including a link to your website. If you provide good quality content and publish to the directories on a regular basis, many readers will click on your link to find out more about you.

If that click takes them to your blog for example, they may decide to opt in to your email list.

Article marketing is a great long term strategy to drive free traffic to your blog. It takes persistence since you need to publish regularly though. Over time you will build critical
