Biomass Properties and Fire Prediction Tools
This review presents literature involving characteristics and fire behaviour prediction models for pine species. The first part analyzes experimental data for pine needles characteristics, and laboratory results for vegetation layer fire behaviour. The second part gives consideration to models used to predict surface fire behaviour. Also presented are approaches employed in describing the heating up, ignition and vegetation burning, and the effect of these processes on the flow parameters in the fire zone. Data for model verification is in addition submitted.

Artificial Intelligence – Agent Behaviour
By: William John Teahan
This book is the second in a series on Artificial Intelligence. It adopts a behaviour-based approach to the design of agent-oriented systems. Topics covered from a behaviour-based perspective include agent communication, searching, knowledge and reasoning, and intelligence. Accompanying the book is a series of exercises and NetLogo models (with source code and documentation) which can be run di...
Understanding Computer Simulation
By: Roger McHaney
This book describes computer simulation concepts then provides basic details about using discrete-event computer simulation for decision making. Input data collection and analysis, model construction, project mechanics, output analysis, verification, validation, reporting, logic transfer, and robust experimental design are all covered in detail. Example models are provided and illustrated using th...
