The book is told entirely in wiseguy slang / dialect which can make it hard to follow at times but gives it an immediacy and authenticity other crime stories can lack. I read a lot of crime fiction and I really enjoyed Tony Scram - it may even be my favourite book of 2012.
Read it - it's worth it.
