Years ago, I read a series of magical books by Neale Donald Walsch, called Conversations With God,
he channels and chats with God (how good is that!) ... stunningly great texts. It turns out that God is our best
friend and not our jealous wrathful enemy; I’m cool with that (someone naughty has been telling porkie
workies).
In the Bible, in one of the Gospels, the great Jesus (Yeshua) says, “Does it not say in your scriptures,
ye are all Gods” ... How good is that! I’ll run with that too.
It seems then that this God is a bit of a dude, with a great sense of humour ... that stands to reason,
because if you ‘are’ humour, surely you’d be a dab hand at it?
The entity also says that the most important thing in the world is for ‘you’ to feel good. That sounds
cool, but, there’s a catch ... we live in a contrasting world. A contrasting world is like photography i.e. you
can’t see the bright lights without the dark shadows ... that then is what the world is like, you can’t have the
nice bits without the not nice bits being there. Humans though have forgotten that, and so, they see
predominantly bad bits, and the mass conclusion is ... the world is a bad place. No, no, no, the world is like
it is because your creator God is ‘love’ itself, and obviously knows that ... you can’t have one without the
other. The point? Look at what you don’t want, and use it to clarify what you do want; there’s the use and
the gift ... most can’t see that though.
In this book, wonderful religion gets some flack, so really, with dwindling numbers going to churches,
if they can look in the mirror in their golden finery, and actually laugh at themselves ... maybe people would
flock there on a Sunday morning again?
I’ve talked to several church people, and they all agree ... as per usual, the problem lies with the
management.
The original cover, before Charlie moaned.
