Mr. Bartholomew's dialog is the best part of his writing. It's dry, witty and always in character. So many authors tell rather than show. He must have absorbed Elmore Leonard's Ten Rules of Writing by osmosis. "The Terrorist Plot at Gopherville" is the first of Mr. B's five novels to date, and he shows no signs of running out of interesting topics. In these days of over-hyped authors, Mr. B is one who knows how to keep things just simple enough yet keep the reader both intrigued and amused.
