I loved this book! The premises on which the story were based were original and interesting, which is getting harder to come by these days. I felt the characters were believable, and liked that the 'color' of your magic did not spawn the usual stereotypes- "black = evil" etc. All in all, one of the most interesting books I have read in a while. I really enjoyed this book. The Rather than High Tech it was a mystical approach to explain magic. This makes it believable.
