The Songs from Long Road

The Songs from Long Road is a loose mosaic of 34 songs and four chapters of prose that deal with the Hopi Indian legend of Pahana. The story assumes that Pahana is/was a real figure, and attempts to place him in the historical context. As such, Long Road selects important historical and religious events in Western,
American, and Mesoamerican history, adds tales from American Indian mythology, and blends them into a narrative. With a blend of prose and poetry, The Songs from Long Road gives the reader a colorful and distinctly different viewpoint.
