In a world where the planet’s dominant power can be determined by man once every thousand years, armies gather their forces to compete for the dominance. When the brave prince of the Sapphire Kingdom, born and raised for this one essential mission, fearfully backs out of the quest, his inexperienced little brother Warren, secretly goes in his place. On this epic journey, Warren travels to the Wanderers' Mountains across a land ruled by evil for one thousand years. In his search for the Pillar of Dominance, he makes many friends and enemies, including a clairvoyant girl from another time, and an ancient wizard with a mysterious curse. With the future resting solely in his young hands, will Warren be able to save his world?

Boutenko has written a new take on parallel worlds. Her storyline is interesting and well paced, and her characters well developed. And it was well edited. I eagerly await the next book, because this lady can write.
