Great book. The movie version has nothing to do with the original story. The screenplay writers took the liberty to re-write the entire story except for chaoter 1.
Many of Jules Vernes' novels were prophetic -- and this one comes quite close to predicting today's most advanced subs. More than prophecy, the characterizations in this novel will live with you a long time. If all you know of Nemo is based on an old Disney film read this book and meet the dark, compelling, real Captain of the Nautilus.
