I've enjoyed this book and learned a lot about the early scotts. Really interesting.

Really enjoyed this book. A good mix of old and new and kept my attention easily.

I really enjoyed the love story between Lovern and Jahna. Those are definitely the best bits.

I listened to this story as an audiobook, but I am purchasing print copies because it is a story that absolutely needs to be shared with some of my favourite people. I stumbled across The Fox while looking for some light entertainment, and by the time that I realized that this wasn’t it, I had been irrevocably sucked in. I’ve never fallen in love with characters the way I fell in love with Jahna, and especially, because the reader gets to view him through Jahna’s eyes, with Lovern. This is a wonderful blend of realism, history and heart-wrenching fantasy, a hauntingly-sweet, tragic story that allows you to feel like you are breathing in the sights and sounds that the narrator is experiencing, and makes you want to cling to each moment so that it endures. Ms. Radasky is a master at evoking a strong sense of attachment to all of her characters, including the modern day ones who play a lesser role in the tale. Even the minor characters come to life and I walked away from the story (still wiping the tears from my face) with the impression that I had new friends, lovers and family. I look forward to the author’s next book. I would recommend this story to anyone with a heart, and would rate this as one of my favourite books ever.

I finished reading this book on the Sept. 11th. What a fitting story to remember the lives lost to the terroist attacks nine years ago. This story reminds us of all the lives that have been lost throughout time in the name of religion. How many lives have been lost to greed and corruption. But, also how many lives have been freely given to protect ourselves, our land, and, most of all, our children..Let us mourn all those who have died, may their stories be passed down through the generations, so they are not forgotten. Let us honor our soldiers today, for they are our "Lovern."

I adore this book! The writing style is superb and the characters are so well defined you feel their pain, joy, sadness and love. The story takes you to a faraway time and place yet

I was sitting at work when I started this story and I had to force myself to stop because I was crying at my desk. This was a WONDERFUL read, so inspirational. Thank you for writing it.

This was at top read! The book left me emotionally spent but uplifted and full of faith that life can manifest a Great Love for each of us!

I loved this story, I really felt like I was looking out of the character's eyes at ancient Scotland and felt how life would have been lived hundreds of years ago. The story moved me and it was a gripping read. But I have to wonder as the author doesn't mention what Jahna dies of? Cancer maybe?

The Fox has really brought up the deep meaning of love for one's family as well as spouse. I have personally got a very good insight about how an ideal relationship should be. I was sad when Lovern was sacrificed, but at the same time I was proud of him for the love that he has for Jahna and Crisi. I was sad for Jahna but then at the same time I was so happy for her that she was able to join her love very soon.

In today's life, people have grown up without understanding the meaning of true love. Today we would hardly find anyone who carries this love for his or her spouse as to sacrifice everything just for the love. People do not even carry relationship till the end. In such times, Jahna and Lovern have given us all a lesson that this is what love actually is. Keeping your family and your spouse at the utmost priority. Lovern came to meet Jahna first after coming from Roman's establishment, knowing that he should go to his king first to deliver the news. I was really touched. In my heart I said "it is not possible to give answer in words to a question - what is love?; one can only feel it and say - this is love". It was a great learning..

wonderful from begining to end I was drawn in by the present and the past.

"The Fox" really made me feel for the characters. They became real and I was drawn into their lives.

I have often wondered about the people found in the bogs. Why did they sacrifice themselves? Lovern's story really brought their lives and beliefs to life.

A throughly enjoyable experience!
