Excellent book. If you like the film the tribe then you will love this book. In search of the D'ore is great.

I'm sorry. I usually try to enjoy everything I read but this one left me off balance and uncomfortable. Not the subject, which has possibilities, but the writing style.

It is much too disjointed, written as if from the perspective of a spoiled 8 year old and covering a massive collection of irrelevancies. The first half of the book left me with absolutely no feelings towards any of the characters. Some of the comments attributed to major players sounded exactly like something a child would say during a playground spat - but these were supposed to be functioning adults.

I didn't even get to the "good" bits presumably hidden away in the second half of the book. I scanned through the latter chapters but nothing at all grabbed me.
