Author: D. H. Lawrence
Torn between his passion for two women and his abiding attachment to his mother, young Paul Morel struggles with his desire to please everyone.
I enjoyed this book but not quite as much as Lady Chatterley's Lover. I felt it laboured a little in some instances, although his description of people and places makes you feel you are right there, both the place and with the characters. He is also very talented in bringing the feelings of his characters to be very real to the reader.
Sisters Gudrun and Ursula Brangwen pursue complex relationships with their lovers, Rupert Birkin and Gerald Crich.
