Be careful on what you wish for… A dream came true for Regine Sta. Maria as she debuts as a news anchor for the evening news. After the newscast, she received a bouquet of flowers and a phone call from someone who calls himself her Number One Fan. His message: make him number one or else, someone will die. The next day, she dismissed it as a mere prank. After a week, the police found her Journalism professor dead. She realized that Number One Fan proved his threat. Journalists start to die one by one and Regine had to guess who Number One Fan is. But how if her only clue was the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star?

This fast-paced thriller has piqued the interest of a foreign publisher. Just recently, the author signed an agreement with a publishing company based in Istanbul for the novel’s Turkish edition. The publisher said that Number One Fan translated in the Turkish language will be included in their 2014-2015 book season.

Received this via email: "Number One Fan is the story of Regine, who, on the first night she presents the news on-air, receives a bouquet—and a threatening phone call from a man calling himself her number one fan. She does not know who to suspect—David, her handsome ex, who she is forced to work with? Or Alex, her boyfriend? Or maybe someone else at the station? Regardless, painful and violent memories resurface and she must fight to keep herself safe. This has a really unusual and interesting setting for a mystery novel—this reader does not recall ever reading a book set in newscasting, or in the Phillippines, which lends a really original cast to the whole story. Regine is clearly is a strong and capable woman, and her sense of family and responsibility as well as ambition keep the reader on her side. Overall it is a strong idea for a story and a setting that could support sequels." - Judge, Writer’s Digest Self-Published e-Book Awards
