Dear Emile Gaboriau
I was prepared just for a detective novel, but it was more.
Till the first half of the book it just went on the similar portraying good side of the accused guy, but later on when Mr veduret writes out the details of his investigations the story becomes a real drama.
from the rivalry of families, a romance which withered in its bud ,snobishness, villiany , sacrifices.,repentence and divine intervention atlast for the punishment for the wrong doer and alot more.
I like to appreciate the you connected the past with all the details of the robberry which was given at the begining.
It was indeed a good and enjoyable reading which you had given me.
Thank you and expecting even better books from you.
The book starts well but it is too long; at least 100 pages too long. I kept reading out of curiosity but the end was very disappointing. The characters are interesting but the author does not take as much as s/he could out of them. Maybe if the book was 200 pages and not 375 I would be nicer in my review; as it is it felt a waste of time.
