In the Realm Beyond the Eighth Circle, Princess Liala awaits the arrival of the Lord of Light. Prophecies foretell that the saintly man will come to save her people from the tyrannical rule of the guardians. Lille goes to meet him only to discover that he is not as saintly as she imagined. After a bad start she realizes that saintliness won't defeat the guardians. Some very unsaintly qualities are needed. The guardians seized power centuries ago and claim to be immortal. They plunder people's bodies for spare parts, turn the living into zombies and use bio engineering to create monsters. From the comfort of their palace, they enslave the minds of the young and use their bodies for enjoyment. Computers, monsters and zombies run their evil empire.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mike Dixon

Normally, a degree in astrophysics does not lead to a stint in Parliament House, public relations, the diving industry and a backpacker resort - but that's what happened to me. My messy life has provided a lot of material for my writing.
