Changing Important WordPress Settings Before Use
You installed WordPress on a local PC running WAMP. It’s time to start editing the website settings before you use the
website.
Changing Settings Part 1:
Users: Your Profile
Remember the Username you entered – “h462n27@m885jthdjdf@jcjf@jfjdf5676er”.
As shown in the picture below, everyone will see this. This is not good practise as the visitors will also see this username.
(It’s also easy information for hackers).
On the left pane within the backend of WordPress. Go to Users, and then to Your Profile. Enter a Nickname within the
field and select the name from the “Display name publicly as ___________ .”
Choose the name entered and select Update Profile at the bottom of the page.
