Circle Of Greed

Circle of greed is a story set in Australia of the perfect casino robbery executed by three professional thieves that quickly turns into a major disaster because of the greed of the participants, the story moves through various plots and counter plots.

The idea for this story came to me while playing roulette in a casino, every now and again a casino employee came to the table with two guards and took away the money the punters had exchanged for chips, the croupier pushed the money through a slot in the table top and the cash fell into a box below the table.

A good fast moving yarn. The characters were realistic and the plot believable.
The absence of syntax is very modern and reflects modern readers who know no better!

Quite a good story, but, oh dear, the number of plural words given apostrophes! If you are going to say something like "The gardens were full of flowers", why is "garden's" given an apostrophe, whereas "flowers" is not?!! Surely "garden's" means belonging to a garden, such as in "the garden's appearance"? As I say, a fair story spoiled for me by really poor punctuation. Perhaps a revision course in English grammar is called for.

I agree with Mr Kenyon's criticism regarding punctuation and sentence structure. I also agreee it's a good read. As a budding author myself I can appreciate the seemingly endless revision that can be so exasperating to any author. I look forward to Ron's next publication.

Firstly, I realy enjoyed this book. It has many things going for it. It is fast paced, with an interesting and believable flawed hero in Murray. The plot rattles along and keeps you involved. The Australian locale is well drawn. I've read thrillers by published authors which weren't as good as this.
However, and I hope Mr. Diesel takes this as constructive criticism, the sentence structure could be better. Shorter sentences rather than long ones with lots of ,s would've made the story flow better and make it easier to read. If he revises this book it would be truly first rate.
That said, I'd like to read more by this author.
