I enjoyed this book very much because of the continued action and the good writing. I found it a credible explanation of the parting of the Red Sea and the seven plagues. I was not impressed with some of the dialogue. The continued use of yeah for yes detracted from a good story.

I really really enjoyed this book, brilliant story & very sexy too, almost made me want to be a man for a bit!!! Cant wait for the next book, is it out yet?

This is an energetic and creative look at the present-day economic woes of the United States, seen through the lens of lessons learned in the Great Depression and World War II. Comprehensive yet easy to read, and extremely thought-provoking.

The subject matter did not bother me . . .it was written so badly that I could not finish it. Well written?? Seriously . . . I DON'T THINK SO.

Good book lousy ending...
The plot is thrilling and good but the plot's end is lousy and for this reason you can skip the last 30 pages as well. On the other hand I don't think that any woman in her wits will do what Sam did unless... she is really in love.

This is a great piece of speculative/philosophical fiction, with action to burn. Lavorato takes a classic story (last survivors on earth after the apocalypse) and uses it to take the reader through some interesting questions about who you can trust and why we are here in the first place. Also manages to throw in some refreshing wisecracking to keep things from getting too dramatic. An excellent first novel, much better than most of the free stuff I've seen (and much of the schlock at the bookstore besides). Worth the time.

A weird but interesting premise but I found the presentation to be flawed. Some authors can weave a world out of a story that draws you into the "reality" they create. This author presents the story as actually happening while you read but I kept finding flaws in his "reality". His breaking into the story as a character and talking to the reader I found to be awkward at times and sometimes even annoying.
Grammatically the misuse of commas creates some very awkward sentences. Even correction of grammar I don't think would save this book for me. The story seems to be aimed at school children with the twin messages of math is fun and nature needs our help. I don't disagree with either message but this book just seems like Dr Suess without the poetry.

I suppose, there is nothing new to say about this legendary book. This is the book, which changed the concepts and thought of the contemporary people. This was a heresy against the superstitions and obviously against the darkness created by the Religious Institutions. In brief this book brought a new horizon in the progression and advancement of Science. I would like to suggest every student of Science (whichever stream he/she belongs to) to collect and go through this book. Lastly I must thank you for providing this invaluable book to the readers.

It's kinda scary to think why and how the author knows many things about murdering people and the sounds and just details about murdering. He must've really done his research for this book... and I hope not the kind of 'Research' that he refers to in the book! Ha! READ IT! It is absolutely awesome. :)

This is a captivating book, fast-paced, adventurous, with a lot of suspense. I liked the factual information provided, the amount of french verses that indeed resembles the Nostradamus quatrains style. The story gets you involved and generates the urge to do something to try to curb the course of events thus making you live the action... Indeed it's one of the finest books I've read recently. The author had found the ingredients for creating a masterpiece. Mr. Medley: Congratulations!

This story by Lewis Carroll(his real name is Charls Lutwidge Dogson)first published in 1865, in victorian era(1832-1901). In this era children were expected to behave like adults including laboring, clothing, reading, etc. They were not allowed to read fantacies and fairy tales ( So crule, Ha?), but Lewis wrote story for children. I appreciate the author in this case but I really did not enjoy the story because it jumps from part to part, over and over. It reminds me of my nightmares I used to drem as a kid! I think he'd got a great imagination, and had thought of every impossible feature of real world in one's head. This story is not my type.

Frank Herbert would turn in his grave at this atrocity. It doesnt fit into the dune "saga"'s story or timeline. My advice would be to stick to the original authors work and the following installments written by his son Brian in co-operation with Kevin J. Anderson. This book totally lacks the Herbert's style of writing and contradicts events that have happened in the original works.
For a pleasurable read stick to - Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune, Chapterhouse: Dune, The Road to Dune, Dune: House Atreides, Dune: House Harkonnen, Dune: House Corrino, Dune: The Butlerian Jihad, Dune: The Machine Crusade, Dune: The Battle of Corrin, Hunters of Dune, Sandworms of Dune, Paul of Dune, The Winds of Dune, The Throne of Dune
Enjoy!

This is the heartwarming & poignant sequel to 'The Story Girl'.
Charming & vivacious Sara Stanley continues her stay on the old King Family Farm with her various cousins. There many wonderful old worlde adventures to be had.
Bev is the wonderful lad through whose eyes the book is written.
(he secretly has a boyish crush on Sara Stanley - The Story Girl).
Felix - his younger brother has a lovely appreciation of food (quite rotund & teased unmercifully about it).
Dan is the eldest of 3 siblings. He is loud & quite tactless & a little dense. (poisons himself to show others he's not afraid)
Felicity is the bossiest, most productive but quite often unkind memeber of the King Family.
Cecily is the sweetest, youngest & most delicate member of the King Clan.
A beautiful story which will take you back to old times when harvest was done by the younger members of the family, both parents were around their children full-time (albeit very busy on the farm) & extended family were always popping in & out.

I really enjoyed this book! An imaginative setting is created and is the perfect lieu for the progression of intelligent and well developed concepts which unravel in this novel. The psychological transition from childhood to adulthood in a strict and secretively governed world is presented in a creative and yet familiar way. Our main character is challenged by the constraints of the governing body and it's censorship as he must step carefully to understand the world around him as well as discovering himself. This adventure is told through captivating action which is sure to increase your heart rate! A worthwhile and well told story. Happy reading!

I read this book years ago, and it is just as wonderful as I remember! If you like good guys fighting for the underdog you will love this. If you love Hobbits, or Ewoks(furry little people)you will love this. If you simply love classic Sci Fi, you will love this. It isn't the hard core, mechanical sci fi, but a story of another world settled by Terrens (Earth people), where sapience, or non-sapience of the worlds previously undiscovered natives, becomes the all important question leading to murder, and a trial of importance to the whole world. It is a warm, heartwarming story, and hard to put down, right till the end.

This is a book for bigots written for Christian believers and has nothing to do with the rest of society. It should only be read by those who believe in the teachings of an intolerant and misogynous church. It is a horrible book written for those who think they are in possession of an absolute truth that is harmful to the majority of human beings. Just reading the introduction nearly made me puke. If God is intolerant as the author says then he can have Him.
