Author Bio: Rachel Humphrey - D'aigle, fantasy author, was born in Malden, Massachusetts, in July, 1973, but left three months later after surviving The Great Chelsea Fire. i downloaded a bunch of books, but this one grabbed my attention. i'm looking forward to the 5th book. i really love the story and i feel like i am inside their world for awhile. :)
Wow.. I couldn't put down this book and cannot wait to start the next one. It has been a while since I have come across a book that really grabs my attention and leaves me eagerly anticipating the next part of the saga.
I am really enjoying these books, I have not been a big reader, but finding these are getting me right into it. Am just about to start book three and find the story of the twins journey really interesting.
Honestly, at first i dismissed this book as a mere children story that one day i decided to download and read anyway since i have nothing else to do. But in the end, i find myself anticipating the 5th book!!
I really liked the book, really fast paced, it kept me turning the pages. However, there's no ending; the author sends you to the next book if you want to know what happens next. I did not like that turn because I do not like at all stories without an end. Also, as we only have free access to the two first books of the series I had to decide not to read the second book.
Liked this book a lot so I bought the other 3. Too bad for me I did not read her site to figure out that a book 5 is on the way (March 2012) so now I am stuck wondering "what happens next?". I look forward to what comes next.
I loved this book. It's so imaginative! And the way she wove all these characters and plots, it kept me reading for what's to come. Only thing I would say negatively about it is the way the main characters talk. I don't think 13 year olds talk like they do and use expressions or vocabularies as they do. But that didn't bother me too much. I still enjoyed in thoroughly and loved it!
Kind of wishy washy..I am from the state of maine so I picked up on the environment..but the story and the characters could use more focus and description..Overall though, I liked the storyline. Enough to care what happens next to these characters.
