Beware- The jacket cover shown for this book is the one from the Pevear translation. The text is from the older Garnett translation. Big difference.

Great story, if a little difficult to read due to the odd english usage, the characters and plot are fantastic - no wonder it's a classic!

As usual for writers of the past centuries, this is not just a romance, just a story. It's mixture of different characters, visions and approaches to life. It's social review. I contains lots of philosophical ideas for everybody who also is searching for the right way in his own life.

I didn't care for the style of writing. I found it difficult to keep my interest.
