All the man wanted was to get rich, and as his last prayer were granted, he became very wealthy. Having become wealthy, he felt that it would be terrible to die and leave all of his possessions behind. So he decided to set out in search of a land where death did not exist.
He rushed headlong down the path he had come, at each step fearing that he would feel a hand laying on his shoulder. It was not until he had left the last trees behind him and was standing on the open plain, that he dared to look around. Then he thought that a figure in white was still standing there, waving her arms to and fro.
