I could not tell what does the author want to tell us from that story. All what I read is a story of a curate called Strangway who is thought the play expressing very weak type of personality, all the time pitying himself for the betray of his wife. I was running through the pages to know what will he do, but he did nothing, he even did not divorce his wife for her betrayal.
