HOW DO I CHANGE MY PASSWORD?

1A) If you don’t remember your password please first reset it here

2) Once logged in, go to ‘Settings’ (orange button in the top right corner of your screen)

3) You’ll see a space that allows you to change your password – input your new password there and click submit.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STANDARD MEMBERSHIP AND A VIP MEMBERSHIP?

Standard memberships are FREE and allow members unlimited access to HTML books + up to 5 PDF versions per month, each and every month.

VIP Memberships are available for a small fee, but provide a wide range of additional benefits to VIP Members. In addition to being able to download unlimited HTML and PDF books, VIP members can also download unlimited books in the MobiPocket and ePub formats, get first access to new books, priority customer service, storage space for their favorites, and much more. Also each new VIP Member is automatically entered in our monthly draw for prizes such as MP3 players, cameras and Amazon Kindles for example.

WHY DO YOU CHARGE A FEE FOR VIP MEMBERSHIPS AND WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO?

Free-eBooks.net is looking to undertake several key projects designed to benefit our members such as:

Many of these projects are elaborate and require additional funding to be developed which is why we’ve created a VIP membership level designed to bring in donations. The more VIP members participate, the greater the amount of additional benefits we’ll be able to provide.

MAY I CANCEL MY VIP MEMBERSHIP?

We offer a 5 day money back guarantee. If you are not happy with your VIP Membership, please alert us within 5 days of your payment and will refund 100% of that payment. If you are subscribing on a monthly basis, and after some months decide you would like to cancel your membership, please notify us right away to cancel your membership. If you do so within 5 days of your latest payment, we will refund that last payment in full.

HOW MUCH ARE YOUR BOOKS?

Any our books can be downloaded FREE of charge in either the HTML or PDF format. Like your local library, all we ask is that you first register an account with us .

CAN I DOWNLOAD AS MANY BOOKS AS I WANT?

We offer 2 types of membership levels:

1)Standard Members can access unlimited HTML versions of our ebooks + up 5 PDF versions per month each and every month.
2)VIP Members can download all the HTML, PDF, ePUB and MobiPocket books they want.

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD A BOOK?

To download a book you need to:

1) Register for an account here
2) login here
3) select the appropriate category from the left vertical menu (or browse by author)
4) once you see a book you like, please click on the book's title or one of the formats listed under the description. In most cases books are available in 4 formats:

WHY CAN’T I OPEN .PDF BOOKS?

1) Please make sure you are a registered member. You may register with us here
2) Please make sure you have a functional copy of Adobe PDF Reader (or similar program) installed on the device you are trying to open the book with. Adobe Reader can be downloaded for FREE here if you need it.
3) If you are a Standard Member, you are limited to 5 PDF downloads per month. Please revisit next month to get an additional 5 PDF books or upgrade to VIP status to download unlimited books.

WHY CAN’T I OPEN MOBIPOCKET (.PRC) BOOKS?

1) Please make sure you are a VIP Member. If you have not yet registered with us, you can register here. If you are a Standard Member, please upgrade your account here
2) Please make sure you have the appropriate version of the Mobipocket reader installed on the device you are using to open the books. The Mobipocket Reader is free and available here. Remember there are different versions of the Mobipocket Reader for different devices so please select the appropriate one. For more help with MobiPocket, please see their forums here

WHY CAN’T I OPEN ePUB BOOKS?

1) Please make sure you are a VIP Member. If you have not yet registered with us, you can register here. If you are a Standard Member, please upgrade your account here

2) If using an eBook Reader: Please make sure your eBook Reader supports the ePUB format. Consult your user’s guide for further information

If using your computer: please make sure you have software that supports ePub format such as Adobe Digital Editions which can be downloaded here for free

CAN I READ YOUR BOOKS ON MY AMAZON KINDLE?

The majority (but not all) of our books are offered in the Mobipocket format, available to VIP Members. If you’d like to download MobiPocket books, please register as a VIP Member here or if you are currently a Standard Member please upgrade to VIP status here. To read books on your Kindle, you should:

1) select the Mobipocket format
2) download it to your computer
NOTE: please make sure you have the FREE Mobipocket reader installed on your computer. If you do NOT have it, you may download it here.
3) Transfer the book from your computer to your Kindle.

CAN I READ YOUR BOOKS ON MY SONY READER OR OTHER e-READER?

The majority of our books are offered in the ePUB format which is compatible with:

If you’d like to download ePUB books, please register as a VIP Member here or if you are currently a Standard Member please upgrade to VIP status here. To read books on your eBook Reader, you should:

1) select the ePUB format
2) download it to your computer
3) Transfer the book from your computer to your eBook Reader.

I’M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY KINDLE (OR OTHER EREADER) – CAN YOU HELP?

Unfortunately, apart from the answers that are already listed on this page we cannot provide assistance with Kindles, SONY Readers, other eReaders or mobile devices. Our dedicated service team is well versed in our services and products, but may not be so with other companies’ devices. For assistance with your Kindle or other eReader please contact the manufacturer or try the MobiPocket Forums here .

WHY DO YOU CHARGE FOR EBOOK SUBMISSIONS?

Several mains reasons:

1) To avoid spam. Free submission lead to more spam being submitted then we can handle
2) Our dedicated editors spend a lot of time reviewing each submission to make sure they meet our standards and submissions charges are used to compensate them,
3) To better market your book. We want to expose your books to as many readers as possible, and submission charges help us to further market the site, providing us all with more traffic .

HOW CAN I TELL HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE READ MY BOOK?

Next to each book’s description, you will find a gray box on the right. Inside of this box you can see the “Downloads” which lets you see how many times a book’s been accessed.

CAN I GET A BOOK COVER WHEN I SUBMIT MY BOOK?

Only those that choose the “Homepage Feature” marketing package may get a cover at this stage.

WHAT IS THE “DONATE TO AUTHOR” BUTTON AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

We understand that many authors are “up and comers” and might appreciate receiving monetary support to keep writing. Therefore, readers who enjoy a certain book and wish to support its author can click on the “Donate to Author” button next to a book’s listing (where applicable) and send a donation via PayPal.com. All donations go directly to the author’s Paypal account. Free-eBooks.net does not get involved in the process in any way or receives any part of the donations.

MY BOOK WAS ACCEPTED BUT IS NOT IN THE NEW ARRIVALS SECTION?

VIP members get 'first peaks' at new arrivals. This means that for the first week, only VIP members can access new books through their indivual accounts.After this time, your book will then appear on the Homepage under the 'New Arrivals" section for all to see.

IF I CAN’T FIND THE EBOOK I WANT, CAN YOU GET IT FOR ME?

We need to wait until the author/owner of ebook submits it to us. If you know or want to contact the author suggesting they submit to us, that is appreciated.

CAN I SHARE, SELL OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTE BOOKS FOUND HERE?

The books on our site are free for PERSONAL use. When submitting books to us, authors retain their copyrights. In most cases, authors will be happy if you spread the word of their book with others. HOWEVER, you should never sell or use books found here in any commercial purpose without first obtaining the consent from the book’s author(s).
