This is a true story of an indentured family that was uprooted from India in 1906 and transported to Fiji to work on the sugar cane plantation of an Australian company. It is the plight, pain, suffering and hardship of the indentured workers for ten years and when their freedom came, they progressed and developed their own farm and flourished. This is a colorful history of a dedicated and determined family to discover their own destiny in the Pacific Island of Fiji. It shows the blood, sweat and tears of the individuals, who lost their roots, were given the boot and then began to toot as free settlers. It is the story of Girmit in Fiji.
